Hi. You don't actually know me. But my sister's husband (Heather and Derek Gruber) is friends with your husband. Misty Ash shared your blog with me while we were chatting tonight. I just had a question for you. I live in a beautiful, remote area (not as remote as you though!). I was just curious how you deal with being so far away from everything. Do you plan meals and shop once a month? That kind of thing. Even though we've been where we are for two years (and almost two years a few years ago), I still struggle with the inconvenience of living so far away from...civilization. So what do you do?
Beth. I do my shopping every third or four week. I do plan my meals, though it's tough because we don't get all the fresh fruits and veggies. We eat those up first so the end of the month is not as fresh. I make most of my bread products, like bread, hamburger buns, hot dog buns ect... But I'm still working out all the kinks. During the winter we'll see what happens. They close Lolo pass a lot with all the snow that it gets, and I haven't lived through a winter here yet. So we'll see. I do love it here, so I'm making it work however it can.
