HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Just thought I'd give you a speech that applies as much for today and all that is going on in our nation, as it did when it was given on March 23, 1775.


"Gentlemen may cry, 'Peace! Peace!' - but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!"

As we celebrate our nations independence this year with our friend and family, please pray with me that God would restore our nation, that our leaders will repent of their sins, humble themselves before Almighty God and be a righteous tool that God can use. And for all of our military men and women that have shed their blood for our freedom that we enjoy daily.

Good thoughts! We can't give up freedom for safety or expect to retain freedom with self-indulgent apathy.
