Nothing warms you up like hot chocolate with marshmallows

A little home improvement during Christmas break. My dad and I cut out this pony wall to open up the stairway. It makes it so open and airy. I also got my dishwasher installed, which is wonderful.

Thanksgiving a little late!

Just wanted to post a little on Thanksgiving.

It was a beautiful, sunny and very cold day. Lucas and I enjoyed hunting together, quad rides in the snow (I didn't get a picture of the tub being pull by the quad), grandparents and good food. We thank God for all these wonderful blessings.

String lash bruise from a bow to long for me. Oh well. A year ago I couldn't even draw it! So I'll take the lash. I had to hipper extend my arm on Lucas' pull in order to release it. If I draw the bow without the pull I do just fine. Chalk it up to experience and (maybe a bow that fits me!!!!).

The Swanson Summer Happenings and Renovation #2

The girls got to go to Vacation Bible School for the first time and absolutely loved it.

The way we beat the heat when it was 90 degrees inside the house. Though it was a little small for the whole fam, but we did it anyway. 

Then came the upgrade. 

4th of July smoked ribs from our neighbors welcoming us to the neighborhood. They were so delicious.
