Lucas' Birthday / Mother's Day

This year Lucas' birthday landed on Mother's Day. I didn't plan on anything big for his birthday this year (unlike last year with his surprise 30th party)  so we just had a quiet lunch after church at home. I made him the pasta dish that he wanted and green beans, strawberries dipped in Greek
So I made dinner, and I wasn't just dotted on for the whole day (Lucas did make me breakfast and did the dished afterwards), but I was still surrounded by my husband that I love more and more everyday and my three beautiful and wonderful daughters. I wouldn't have wanted anything different (well maybe a trip to the Bahamas would have been nice) but, I'm so blessed by the love and care that my family gave me and everyday, even without the special somethings!

It was  a beautiful day and I just loved being with my family. Thank you God for the husband that you gave me and for my wonderful family that loves me.

The day after I shot my bear Lucas went out hunting and ...

got this beauty! Good job my love. We've never shot our bears this close together. What a great start to our hunting season!

Tonight I got my 7th black bear. What a great hunt. The first time I sat on the bait this spring. Definitely the first time to sit on a bait one time and get a bear. And have 3 girls (with Lucas playing by the river) dragging it out. Erin in the Bjorn and Audrey and Cora hiking right beside me. What a wonderful night with the bears and my girls. I also have to say that I'm so thankful for my husband and all that he has taught me and giving me the desire to hunt. I love you, Lucas. What an amazing man you are, keeping the 3 girls and letting me sit on the bear bait. Erin's first bear hunt! Wait until you're older my little girl!

The other night after dinner I asked Cora to go and wash up... well, she not only washed her hands but her hair as well. At least it was bath night! You crazy munchkin!

God has truly bless Lucas and I with three beautiful little girls. I look forward to seeing all that God has in-store for them, as they learn to follow and love Jesus with all their hearts.
