Saying Good-bye

At the hospital saying good-bye to Lizzie.

I know that I down loaded this pictures in revise order. I'm sorry, but I hope you have fun looking at them and seeing all that we did and just the adorable pictures of the family. We had a great time.

Lake Anna (Virginia)

Liz trying to warm up after she spent a long time in the water.
After Audrey played in the water for half hour she sat down in the chair and wouldn't move until we left. She was very content to just sit and eat! She didn't like the sand at all! We'll have to work on that one.

I don't know how I didn't get any other pictures at the lake. The boys had a great time in the water and in the sand!

Cute Pictures of the Virginia Trip

National Museum of the Marine Corps

The design of the roof and the large beam are representing the flag raising on Iwo Jima.
Pictures really don't do it justice. It's very impressing up close.
I found myself a new Marine... hahaha!! (A drill instructor, I don't think so)!

I would never be able to walk around with one of those packs. It weighed so much (Jess had to help me put it on).

One of the few sister times we had.

The Cousins from Virginia

Gabe, don't ask me how I was able to capture Gabe's smile.

Jake & Audrey driving

Audrey and Jake were playing a duet. It was so cute!

Enjoying their bath!

Four of the cousins. All tired from a trip into Fredericksburg.

Audrey and the little fawn

Lucas transported this little mule deer doe fawn today. Audrey just loved petting it. The fawn kept following Audrey around, it was so precious. She would walk up and nuzzle right into you. I'm so glad that Lucas took it away today, because I was growing way to attached to it. Aren't they so cute together?

She weighs about 7 lbs. and is about 3 days old.

Just a couple of really cute pictures of Audrey.

Showing a full belly off, after dinner.

Up-date on Dad

Mom just called me to let me know that Dad's last chemo treatment went well last night. He's still in the "flushing" stage so they'll be in the hospital a little while today but should be discharged sometime this afternoon. The huge praise is Dad doesn't have the stomach tube anymore!!!! His doctor agreed that he didn't need it anymore and so the surgeon removed it this morning! Dad was thanking the surgeon and instead of taking all the praise he said, "It was God who's healing you. Can I pray with you and thank the Lord for His healing hands?" As you can imagine, Dad and Mom were elated to pray with the surgeon.
In turn, they wanted me to thank all of you for your prayers, love and encouragement.

Back from the East Coast

Hi everyone. No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Sorry it's been so long since my last blogging.

Audrey and I just got home on Tuesday from a two week trip to Virginia to visit with Jess and the family. We had a great time, though the first week was a very hard week for Lizzie and the second week Audrey, Jake, I, Sam, Jess and Gabe all got bad colds. Lizzie ended up in the Hospital last Sunday and was there for five days. I'm glad that I was there to watch the boys for a couple of days while Jess was at the hospital with Liz. Though there was a lot of sickness we had such a blessed time with everyone.

Some of the highlights were, Audrey had her first plane trip (which was where we got sick) and she did pretty well for 7 and a half hours in a plane. We were there for Gabriel's baptism which was very special. We tried to go to North Carolina to go to the beach, but with all of the sickness we decided not to go, so we went to Lake Anna which was a lot of fun. Audrey hates sand, so she sat under the umbrella all afternoon and ate chips, crackers and peanut butter and cookies. It was so funny. She did like the water a lot but afterwards was very content to sit in her chair. Jess and I were able to go to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. We spent a little over a hour there and I could have spent a couple of more hours. It was amazing. I want to go back and take Lucas with us. He would love it.
As soon as I get my film developed I'll post some pictures of the trip.
