Getting Started!

Hi everyone! I guess I'll join the bandwagon and get this thing started.

Just a recap of the past year.

In January Lucas was hired by Idaho Fish and Game as a new Conservation Officer (game warden) and thus the training started... I was eight months pregnant and still working 32 hours a week at Safeway as the assistant manager of the deli.

When February hit all I could think about was being able to finish out work (21st of February) before I was to go on vacation/maternity leave. Lucas had to go down to Boise for a officers training, from the 10th - 16th. At this point all I wanted was to hang in there until Lucas came home on the 16th. But God had much different plans for us... I went into labor on the morning of February 14th, Valentine's Day. We had to fly Lucas home from Boise to be there in time for the birth.

Lucas and I were blessed on February 15th, 2008 at 12:40 am, with our beautiful little baby girl, Audrey Megan.

Thus our busy life began...

Our little family moved from Moscow ID in May to a place you can't even find on a map, Powell, ID. The only thing here is the Forest Service Station and a Idaho Department of Transportation yard, the Lochsa Lodge and our house. We have no neighbors, but some deer, snowshoe hares, elk, moose, wolves, coyotes, bears... well you get the picture. Not a lot of talking friends. We're a hour away from Missoula, Montana and its absolutely beautiful here. We love it. God has so richly blessed us with this home and job in such a wonderful place.

So now my life is filled with hikes down to the Walton Lakes and all over, picking huckleberries, learning how to fly fish, keeping up with Audrey and the house and soon hunting.

Great job! MIL wants lots of pictures, y'all hear, now. Keep Patrick in line this weekend. BTW, if you can think of a way for us to watch the old man and two babies while you join Patrick on an elk hunt, we could be open to staying longer in Moscow...you figure it out; we'll consider it.
Love you all!
