This year was the first time Lucas or I had ever gone out and checked beaver traps! We took the snowmobiles and found that we had two beavers out of our three traps! They're funny little guys. They were about 50lbs each! Good catch!
Erin, they are food for martens. We are trapping martens (to pay for a new TV), which are used for gloves, coats etc... Also beavers are very destructive. But we're done for the year. We only needed a couple. When we get our next marten I'll take a picture of it so I can post it.

this just makes me LOL! I think its great you guys love to do this adventurous stuff together. What a way to celebrate Christmas! :)
