this is what he came home with!The muddy spot in the first picture was the elk's bed this morning and the point in the distance with the grove of tress (on the right hand side of the picture) is where Lucas shot him from. He shot the bull at 6:35 this morning. What a blessing! We've been praying that God would bless us with and elk. But we weren't going to be picky. We just wanted good elk meat. It's so good to eat!! We love it.
Lucas thought the the bull weighed 900 lbs! I picked up the head and all I can say is that I'm so glad that it wasn't me packing it out! It was so heavy.
